We’re really excited to announce that today, PressTrends has surpassed over 100,000 sites and we’re growing strong. This is a huge milestone for the platform and we’re really excited. Together, we’ve gained amazing insight into the WordPress ecosystem and are leading the way in discovering and creating a better web.
Also, to celebrate this milestone we’ve launched a new home page, updates to both theme and plugin API’s, as well as new features within dashboards.
During this past few months we’ve launched a lot of great new features, including the introduction of plugin support. Many plugin authors have jumped on board and are using PressTrends to learn valuable information about how users are interacting with their plugins. One of our favorites is Modern Tribe and their suite of event plugins for WordPress.
We’ve learned a lot about the WordPress ecosystem and have shared some insights along the way:
We’re really excited about what lies ahead and hope you are too.
We’re getting ready to launch the much anticipated 1.2.3 version of our plugin for content creators, which will reign in a whole new era for the platform. We’ve been working hard on a great new suggestion engine and making the plugin more secure and stable.
Since the beginning of the year WordPress has experienced amazing growth and continues to evolve as an elegant and robust CMS and publishing platform. We’ve seen theme authors raise their weekly rates of adoption from 5-10 sites per week to now adding 500-900 sites per week. All pointing to the fact that WordPress is still gaining momentum.
We’ve seen a rise in plugin adoption, especially with plugins that offer multiple feature sets such as Jetpack and others. As the WordPress evolves along with its users, themes and plugins will too. Our goal is that PressTrends will continue to be a vital aspect in shaping the evolution of the open source platform we’ve all come to love.
We’re really excited about the future of the platform. Thank you so much for your continued support and for using PressTrends.
