New: Easily Test Plugin Integration
Yesterday, we launched a new feature for plugins that allows authors to test their integration with PressTrends. After you log into PressTrends, go to My Account. From there, select “Plugin Tracking Code”. Once you’ve created a plugin within PressTrends, you’ll see the plugin name along with it’s unique Auth code. You’ll also see a link called “Test Integration”.
After you’ve add the tracking function to your plugin and have activated on a site, the tracking code should send data to the API once you refresh the WordPress Admin page. You’ll see a few of the returned API data and be able to gauge if the tracking code has been integrated correctly. You should only have to simply copy/paste the tracking code into your main plugin file.
We hope this will be useful for authors and are eager to hear feedback as to how we can continue making the platform simpler and more stable.
